Flail.

As some of you may already know, Bigbang played in London for the first time last weekend, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been there to witness it. To be quite honest the few weeks running up to it I tried not to think about it that much--too much work and it hadn't really sunk in that I was going-- In fact it wasn't until they actually walked on stage that it felt real and I finally realised where I was...

I'm not going to go into much detail about it as I don't think I can find the words to describe just how amazing they were (and I'm not a good writer at the best of times)

And in all honesty I think I'm still on a bit of a comedown, so instead I'll just leave you with a few photos. 

I took mostly videos whilst I was there (which I don't plan on ever sharing because they all include me screaming like an idiot), so please enjoy me and Michaela and the sea of VIPS

Not so secret santa

My housemate Michaela was really naughty the other day and gave me my secret santa present early, but look how beautiful! I've never really enjoyed anything too over the top, too girly or at all sparkly, so this is perfect for me!  

I'm also ridiculously excited for the coming week ahead-- not only is it our last week of uni before breaking up for christmas (i have an assessment to get though before hand, but we won't think about that), but I have have Bigbang on Saturday (!!!!), the Hobbit on Sunday, and on the Monday Michaela and myself are traveling up to Stoke to visit Amy, where we're planning to spent two days gorging ourselves on Chinese food. I literally cannot wait!

Caffeine free!

There's been quite a few things I've wanted to blog about over the past few days, but due to my decision to wean myself off caffeine, things haven't gone quite to plan. Instead, I've been dragging my zombie self to uni in a attempt to do work, before wallowing in self-pity and falling asleep.. 
However, while I have the chance (and the energy), I thought I'd take this opportunity to share with you the photos I took at the design museum on Tuesday. I originally went just with the intention of seeing the "digital crystal" exhibition, but I ended up falling in love with Lawrence Lek's work while I was snooping around the rest of the museum...

Lawrence Lek is an architect and sculptor who "investigates the processes of natural growth and industrial fabrication through sculptured objects and environments".
His "unlimited edition" consisted of huge plywood modules, which he bent into really beautiful organic forms. 
I was really drawn to the simplicity of his work, and at first I actually thought his structures had been created with leather, so I was amazed to discover that the fluid shapes had been created with rigid plywood. I even loved the way he'd stitched the modules together... It was also interesting to see his early inkblot tests which has clearly been a strong influence on his often even more exciting than the final outcome..

A complete change of subject here, but despite the lack of caffeine and temporarily dying situation, I am actually a very happy bunny indeed as I managed to get tickets this morning to see bigbang in December! I think the thought of potentially being in the same room as G-dragon is keeping me alive and awake! :)
