Low Classic (sob)

I came across the Korean brand Low Classic about a month ago whilst browsing a-land, and I quite literally fell in love. And then about 5 minutes later suffered extreme heartbreak after realising they don’t yet ship anywhere other than Korea.
But for those of you who may not have come across the name before, I’ll give you a quick update. Based in Seoul, Lee Myeong Sin, Hwang Hyun Ji and Park Jin Sun founded Low classic in 2009, and I can safely say it has become my new obsession.

At first it very much reminded me of the brand Cos with the use of minimalism and quite “boyish” shapes, however whereas I can often find Cos to be slightly overpriced (I usually just wait for the sales), Low’s prices are almost unbelievably reasonable, with printed slogan tops ranging at around 48,000 (roughly £27) and trousers at 108,000 (about £60).
My favorite pieces for F/W are their black trousers with the see-through cut-out at the ankle, their printed slogan t-shirts, chunky heels and three-way pocket bags (so beautiful I want to cry a little bit).
As someone who usually steers clear of anything overly fussy or girly, Low’s clean tomboyish pieces are perfect. I love the attention to detail- the little cutouts replaced with sheer fabric, simple clean prints, and impeccable cuts.
I’m just despairing over the fact they don’t yet ship internationally, so it looks like I’ll just have to take a little trip to Seoul (as if I needed another excuse to go)!
But for now please enjoy a few of my favorite pieces from their F/W collection…
