F A S H I O N // Min Kim: The seasons of women's life

I came across LCF masters student Min Kim through the ever amazing Ivania Carpio of Love Aesthetics, and imediatley fell in love.
My first reaction to this particular collection was the similarities and shape and form in both her work an my own- when I design, oversized and organic shapes are always my starting point, with print and textiles following closely behind.
Inspired by the 'pink frill dress phase' most of us girls go through growing up, Min took her oversized shapes from the big circular skirts and tulle dresses of her and her sisters childhood.
I don't think words can really describe how I feel about Min's collection- you know that heart fluttering and feeling of pent up energy you feel when you're inspired by something? Well, that's exactly how I feel everytime I look at these images. The soft cocoon shapes are stunning, and I'm sure you can all guess how I feel about the colour palette- perfect.

To be honest she makes me want to run home from work to continue designing just as much as she makes me want to wear her clothes, which for me is a wonderful combination of emotions.

I hope you all love her as much as I do

Hannah
