Elders..

 I came across Amsterdam based designer Femke Agema not so long ago after reading about her S/S 12 collection. I just loved the whole concept of her positive take on the 2012 doomsday predictions. She produced such a fun and innovative collection and I especially loved the little transparent rain mac and the huge rucksack-type bag that apparently transformed into a two-man boat...

For her most recent S/S 13 collection titled 'Elders' (or elsewhere), Agema has used a number of experimental and imaginative processes to create a subtle, organic but also very bold collection.

Being a textile and print student I am especially drawn to her use of textured fabrics, little basket-weaved pieces and of course the colours are just beautiful..

Her work has already inspired me to start some more 3D experimentation- I'm so excited!
