I've been a
little bit rubbish recently and haven't been updating as regularly as I'd like
to (and I'm still yet to bombard you with my trip to Japan)! But I'll be sure
to do that as soon as the excitement of London fashion week has worn off..
But talking of
LFW, I though I'd share one of my favorite shows from yesterday by J. JS Lee.
I'm still a relatively new fan as I only discovered her work last season,
however I can safely say she's growing to become a favorite of mine.
For those of you
who haven't come across her before, Jackie JS Lee was born in Seoul South Korea
and moved to London to take a post-graduate pattern course at Central Saint
martins in 2007. She then went on to work for Kisa London as a pattern cutter,
before going back to CSM for her MA.
Her collections
centre around "sleek and chic androgynous pieces in tailoring", and
"Her vision for creating a label which defines a modern woman who is
concerned with looking sharp in a uniquely feminine way has been given a
platform to launch itself."
Regardless as to
whether I’d actually look good in any of these pieces, I continue to imagine
myself as this sleek urban woman (who happens to be about 6” instead of my 5”2).
I can dream.
However, if I
ever manage to create a collection as half as beautiful as I find this one I
think I could die a very happy woman…
