Throughout my experimentation with media and fabric "detail" I chose to focus on knitting. I found it a struggle at the start to be inspired by any of the places we'd been recommended to visit for this part of the module, and so I naturally fell back to knitting as a way of occupying my mind and giving my something to focus on while I found other sources of inspiration. In the end however I had enjoyed my knitting processes so much, that I decided to base my 3D experimentation around my little samples :)

I even went on to take part in a machine knitting course outside of Uni hours (I'd never before used a knitting machine), so it was wonderful to learn such a new technique! And so much quicker than knitting by hand!
