This week I came across four HUGE folders of imagery collected during my time at uni, and I've spent a few days rummaging through it and throwing most of it away.
One thing I've discovered having sorted through inspiration from when years ago, is that the imagery collected at 18 is pretty much the exact same as those I'm drawn to now... It just goes to show that as much as you develop and expand your mind creatively, you're still drawn to and inspired by the same things. I guess we don't really change as much as we feel we do.
Seeing as my current living space is a lot smaller than that of my uni home, I've had to cut down on everything I own- clothes, art supplies, fabric, and I've been coming up with a million different ways to neatly store my belongings.
This sheet of card found tucked behind my wardrobe (i'm still desperately trying to use every inch of space), was perfect for making this simple A4 folder in which to store a load of that rogue imagery. Combined with a scrap of leather and an old hairband I think it works pretty damn well, plus it's the easiest thing in the world to make! Bit of double sided tape and a pair of scissors et viola! Instant organisation!
P.s. Despite having had my camera repaired after it's accidental death in Japan, it's still acting very temperamental (well, what did i expect after spilling a bottle of Chloé over it)?.. I've been having to make do with just my iPhone for the past year, hence the rubbish pictures, but hopefully I'll be able to get a new one soon! Ohhh to have clear photos!
