New hurrr!

I'd been umming and ahhing about going blonde for a little while, and finally last weekend I just thought "fuck it" at got it done. Seeing as my hair is so short these days it didn't really matter if it fucked up and fell out seeing as I could just shave it off..
So here's what it looks like now!

Warning: This post contains lots of pictures of me attempting to pose. My mum laughed at me trying to take them. Thanks mum.

It took a grande total of five hours, and two heads of bleach before I was finally left with lovely blonde locks! The process itself took a lot longer than I expected which is  probably just because my natural hair colour is so dark, but thankfully the results were a lot lighter than either me and my hairdresser were expecting!
Although I'd been told many times that full scalp bleaches were really painful I luckily felt no burning whatsoever, howevverrr two days later my whole scalp was so so itchy, but thankfully that stopped after a day or two (and another couple of washes)... I also had an awful lot of my hair fall out (well, it seemed like an awful lot), but apparently that was just the ends of my previously bleached hair breaking off- I was sat in the hairdressers quietly wondering if I was slowly going bald-  :S

Other than that my new transition to the light side has been wonderful! It's also really strange how much it seems to change the appearance of my skin tone. I naturally have quite olivey skin, yet being blonde makes me look more milky and dewy which I'm quite enjoying!

I get bored cropping my photos okay...
I also hate my side profile, but i wanted to show the back, so here ya go..
I like to pretend my hair looks nicely styled all the time, but actually everyday at work i just look like this...
Sexxyyy
Mum laughed at my trout pout :(
Generally I've never really been one to use a lot of hair products, but I've found since having short hair that it needs a lot more maintaining- a lot more maintaining than I'm prepared to give it...
Usually I just rub a tiny bit of wax/putty through my hair in the morning, mess it up a little bit et viola! But I found that although wax holds pretty well, it's really messy to use  and hardly the easiest thing to top up during the day- hello sticky hands :|
So, the other day as I was browsing through Boots, I grabbed a bottle of V05 extreme style matt definition spray, which works wonders! It's so easy to use and the spray nozzle means goodbye gloopy wax fingers! Hurrahh!
Unlike wax it's also really lightweight so it'll hold a lot better using just a tiny amount, and doesn't weigh the hair down- perfect for mohawking!
The only down side I can say it that occasionally it'll go a bit crispy in places, but I think that's more down to my crappy hairstyling skills rather than the actual product.

My hairdresser also gave me a little bottle of kitoko oil treatment, as my hair will probably need a lot more care and attention now that it's had the absolute crap bleached out of it. I used to use the same oil on my ends back when I had waist length hair, and it works really well. You only need to rub a couple of drops through either the ends (or now in my case the whole head), and it'll leave it feeling softer, smoother and generally a little more alive...The good thing about it is it can be applied to either wet or dry hair, so I just plop a little bit on my head when I get out the shower and wait for it to dry- simple!

Warning: only use a teeny amount or it'll end up looking greasy!

Question for those who regularly bleach their hair- what products do you use to keep it looking and feeling healthy and soft? :)

For now I'll leave you with a sexy photo--
