Martial arts: Vogue Korea June 2013

I'd never given much thought to my favourite model before the subject came up in a recent job interview. I find it difficult enough when faced with favourite designer, music, food, type of tea (they're just not simple questions to answer), and so it wasn't surprising that I had a pretty embarrassing mind-blank.

It was on the train home from said interview that I realised I have in fact always favoured a certain 'type' of model. Generally speaking, 'pretty', feminine women have never much captured my interest before (unless of course you're Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), and so I usually find myself drawn to those with more of a distinctive and (as much as I hate this word) 'edgier' look.
The good thing about these questions however, is that the answers are always changing- one day my favourite food could be sushi yet an hour later I'll willingly trade my soul for a bowl of mac n cheese- But that's a good thing. I can't think of anything more dull than choosing to only listen to one genre of music or having to pick just one last ever meal- I'D WANT A NEVER ENDING BUFFET!

But anyway. At this precise moment, at 8:45pm on Sunday the 21st of July 2013, I can safely say that Soo Joo Park is my favourite model. Don't worry though, in half an hour it'll be Ming Xi.
If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing Soo Joo's beautiful face before then quite frankly, where the hell have you been? I'm pretty sure you'd have to have spent at least the last six months living in a closet to be unaware of her, because this girl is quite literally everywhere.
What I think I love the most about her is that kind of creepy aura she has about her- with that incredible skin and long white hair she kind reminds me of a (much more attractive) Asian version of Miss Havisham- so pretty much perfect really.

This recent shoot for June's Korean Vogue (shot by Hyea-Won Kang), is one of my favourites so far. The styling is beautiful, the photography is perfect, and she looks pretty damn awesome.
I'll leave you to admire
