British Birds...!

So I was a bit of a geek and found this "pocket sized" book on birds of the British Isles and their eggs in a vintage shop near Uni. I was just flicking through it, and the illustrations of the eggs were so beautiful that I felt I had to buy it. Not only that but a pressed four-leafed clover fell out of the pages when I opened it- obviously a sign that it had to belong to me!

A couple of days ago I decided to create a few studies of the prints from a few of the eggs (as some of the colours are so amazing)! So here are a couple of quick acrylic studies on cardboard; Not entirely sure what I plan to do with them yet. They may possible go towards some future Uni work, depending on what brief I set myself. How exciting!
